Refund policy

Please note that since our products are handwoven, we mostly have one of each kind at a time. Also, as the fabrics are pure and the weaves delicate, each garment requires very careful handling. Hence, we can offer cancellations, returns, or exchanges only in extreme circumstances.

Cancellations

  • Eligibility: You may cancel your order before it has been shipped, provided no tassels or fall pico have been added to your request.

  • Credit and Refunds: Upon cancellation, you will receive store credit equivalent to your order value for future purchases. Any bank/payment gateway processing charges will be deducted from the total refund amount if you prefer a refund.

  • Limitations: Only unstitched garments (saris, stoles, and dupattas) are eligible for cancellations. Orders for fabrics and apparel/garments must be kept from being canceled or returned.

RETURNS

  • Conditions: Returns will only be accepted in the case of a manufacturing defect or dispatch of an incorrect item. Minor color variations due to light settings, the picture's angle, or the fabric's nature are not grounds for a return.

  • Limitations: Apparel, garments, and fabrics cannot be returned.

  • Process: Send your return request to orders@houseofbanras.in within 48 hours of receiving your shipment. Requests sent after 48 hours of delivery will not be eligible for returns.

  • Damaged Parcels: If your parcel appears tampered with, damaged, or unsealed, do not accept it and contact us immediately at orders@houseofbanras.in or call +91 9266720071.

  • Authorization: Upon receipt of your request, we will examine it and send you an authorization of return/exchange within 5 working days. The product must be couriered back in its original packaging to the address provided within 5 days of receiving authorization.

  • Condition: The product must be in its original, unused condition, with the original bill and tags intact.

  • Refunds: Refund on your original credit/debit card or mode used for payment. Return shipping charges will be applicable. Refunds are processed within 7 working days, but bank processing times may vary.

Exchanges

  • Eligibility: You may exchange your order if no tassels or fall pico have been added.

  • Customs and Duties: You are responsible for applicable customs and duties for returned and exchanged items.

  • Overseas Shipping: To and from shipping charges will apply for overseas shipments.

  • Limitations: All made-to-order apparel and cut fabrics cannot be exchanged. Products that have been opened, unfolded, or tried on will not be exchanged.
